Hello from Alice Springs
I wanted to send you a quick video from Alice Springs, I’ve recently moved here. My friends say it’s the middle of nowhere but as my Mum pointed out to me it’s actually the middle of every here. I’m equal distance to everywhere in Australia right now and it’s a wonderful place to be.
Some things I’ve learnt I wanted to share with you some of the key things that I’ve learnt having moved back here, having been away for 8 years. I think probably the most obvious to me is how important it is to reconnect to your environment; to really ground yourself in nature. It’s a wonderful way to de-stress. I’ve really appreciated that since I’ve moved back. It’s such a lovely environment here and so grounding to be a part of the beautiful surrounds of Alice Springs.
Remember Facebook? The other interesting thing is that when I left here back in 2007, things like Facebook had not been developed. EBay, Facebook and YouTube were all interesting new things but no one yet knew the power of them in business. Wow what a difference it’s made to business. Technology has certainly changed things a lot since then. I’m just loving the fact that my business hasn’t moved backwards by me relocating. I’m still connecting to clients all around Australia and all around the world. I’m using Skype and I’m using remote access applications like Google Desktop Remote Access and TeamViewer. I’m using Evernote and Dropbox to share information and collect information on the go. So technology advancements have been absolutely fantastic for me to be able to stay on top of my business, to manage my time, to improve my productivity and just to keep things going.
Thank God for Tools I just wanted to share those key findings with you, what a difference it’s made to my business, being here, yet being able to stay on top of things and connected to the rest of Australia with great communication and productivity tools. I’m really looking forward to staying connected with you and if you want to know more about some of those tools that I’ve mentioned, send me an email or give me a buzz and I’ll let you know how they work.
