Today’s blog is about how to get into a mindset of being organized or having an organize mindset and really that starts from a place of certainty. When we feel organized we feel certain about things. We are certain where things are but we also have clarity around the decisions that we need to make.
When we are unorganized we are in a state of uncertainty We are disorganized. Disorganized with our thoughts, disorganized with our space. But the important thing to remember is that when you are in a state of learning, it’s okay to be in a state of uncertainty because what that means is that you are provoking change or you provoking question. So it’s okay to waver between certainty and uncertainty and essentially through a state up being organized and unorganized.
The danger is when you don’t ask questions, when you don’t resolve conflict or solve solutions to those problems, you move from a state of being uncertain into a state frustration .You become frustrated because you’re not getting solutions to the problems. You’re not getting answers to those questions and what that stems down to is YOU asking the right questions or seeking change by asking questions.
And if we don’t deal with the frustration, then we’re going to move into a phase of anger. We get really angry that there is a problem that we can not solve. We get ngry about the circumstances that keep appearing before us. We get angry about the disorganization around us.
It causes conflict. Anger causes conflict and this is really a state of disorganization .
From anger we moving into fear. A fear that this is always going to be the same, a fear that a mistake is going to appear or a fear that we can get in trouble for these mistakes; or the things we can’t find; or the things that we’ve forgotten.
From fear you move into a stage resignation. You basically give up, you say “”This is the way it’s always been. Oh well that’s just the way it is my customers expect that from me. My boss knows I’m forgetful”. So you are resigned to the fact.
And are you in a place of resignation? Are you saying “Well this is just the way I am”? Or are you in a place close to being just a little uncertain and ready to be certain? Are you ready to have that change? Are you ready to be in a state of organisation?
if you’d like things to be different for you, in your physical space if you’d like to feel a lot more organized , if you’d like your boss, your clients, your customers or just people around you to say “Wow, she’s thought of everything!”, then it’s time to you been in that shifting mindset. It’s time to move away from the place of uncertainty to certainty, but you do you have to be willing to change. You need to lift yourself out of that resignation phase.
